Samantha Bash was born at 27 weeks gestational age at Coral Springs Medical Center.  She endured 69 days in the N.I.C.U, undergoing life-saving treatments for her heart murmur, anemia of prematurity, jaundice, blood transfusions and oxygen therapy.  At 2lbs. 3 ounces she was the smallest baby in the N.I.C.U.

We noticed Samantha had developmental delays around 6 months.  She was not sitting up, rolling over or meeting milestones for a typical baby.  After several evaluations, Samantha began physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy.  At this point she still had no offficial diagnosis.  However, at 18 months of age Samantha was still not talking very much and was lagging far behind her peers in gross motor skills.  She had a MRI of the brain and was officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy due to her extreme prematurity.

She uses a walker and wears AFO braces to aid in her mobility, however her balance is still compromised.  Our doctor recommended Samantha receive intensive physical therapy to help her balance and walking unassisted.  However, it is very costly and we do not have the resources to pay for this necessary treatment.  If anyone would be so kind as to donate any amount towards Samantha\'s rehabilitation, we would be forever grateful.

Samantha is a sweet child with a lot to offer.  She would benefit from this treatment and it would help support our efforts to get our daughter walking independently.
Thank you in advance,
Robyn and Michael Bash
