Fitness Activities For Youth With Autistic Spectrum Disorders
Yes, there is life after occupational therapy and physical therapy for youth with autistic spectrum disorders...it's Right Fits RAISE THE BAR Fitness Program. Many children on the autism spectrum exhibit low muscular tone, poor gait patterns and mus­cular compensation. A combination of these physical deficits can make movement an unpleasant experience and a poor prognosis for physical fitness and wellness.
RAISE THE BAR will explore individualized training and motivational techniques to ensure a fitness program that is functional, fun, safe, and appropriate for every age and fitness level.
