Fundraiser for kids with disabilities
On Wednesday, May 25th, 2016, Bright Steps Forward held our inaugural Comedy 4 Kids fundraiser
at the Ft. Lauderdale Improv starring the –hilarious– actor and comedian, Adam Ferrara, and also
featuring comedian Maryellen Hooper.
It was a great evening of laughter and good will to raise funds to provide critical and early therapeutic
interventions for children with disabilities in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Below are just a few memories from this magical evening.
Early that same morning, Adam was advocating for our cause on the Paul and Young Ron show on iHeart Radio, Big 105.9.
After the radio show, Adam and Tori Gabriel (BSF’s Director of Development) appeared on NBC’s "6 in the Mix" to promote the evening and talk about our work with the kids.
Our guests were welcomed by some of the nicest smiles in South Florida.
The fun started early at the reception desk.
Little by little, the room began to fill up. No sign of impatience was reported.
The Silent Auction was also a huge hit with lots of competitive bidding!
